In the colonized West, we have few clear and coherent rights of passage that foster a meaningful sense of maturity, ingenuity, grit and and grace. When we do encounter these initiations, they are too often experienced as crisis without mentorship, lonely, confusing and terrifying. In Tarot, we might consider these Tower Card moments, the sense that your life, your belief and even your identity are crumbling around you.

Brought on by experiences like loss, betrayal, life transitions, health events, or sudden revelations, initiations in the colonized West require frameworks, support and practices to foster metabolism.

In Initiation with Intention, we create such a framework for dancing with such life changing experiences. Through discussion, mindfulness and experiential exercises, we play our way toward a richer capacity to be with catastrophe.
